Battery Earth Fault Relay: FB1
FEATURES
The battery earth fault type relay FB1 continuously checks the insulation resistance (leakage current) of all parallel-connected paths between earth and pole of the battery. The maximum insulation resistance that the relay can detect depends on the rated battery voltage.
Relay FB1 protects the battery against an Earth fault and deterioration of wiring insulation in either pole of the battery.
The FB1 Battery Earth Fault Relay offers benefits such as continuous monitoring of insulation resistance, fast and sensitive fault detection with adjustable trip settings, and fail-safe protection for both positive and negative battery poles. Its static design provides reliability with two separate output relays for individual pole fault isolation.
- The relay constantly checks the insulation leakage current between the earth and both the positive and negative poles of the battery, ensuring constant protection.
- Detects earth faults at either the positive or negative terminal and activates separate output relays to isolate the affected pole.
- The relay allows users to set the desired leakage current at which it should trip, providing flexible and application-specific protection.
- It features fast response times, crucial for preventing damage and ensuring safety.
- Designed to work with a broad range of battery voltages, from 24V to 220V
- Three LEDs clearly indicate the system’s status: power on, earth fault on the positive pole and earth fault on the negative.
