The ARCPRO-V1 is an ultra-fast, intelligent protection relay purpose-built to shield low-voltage panels, Motor Control Centres (MCCs), busbars, switchgear, and cable boxes from the catastrophic effects of arc flashes. Unlike standard current-based protectors which can be slow to react to electrical arcs, this device uses optical sensors to instantly capture the light generated by an arc fault. This lets it isolate the affected sector before major damage can happen.

APPLICATION:

The device is used in critical power infrastructure areas vulnerable to ARC flash incidents:

  • Switchgear Arc Flash Protection: Safely monitors circuit breaker (CB) chambers and cable terminations where breakdown occurs due to incoming moisture or rodent damage.
  • Compartment Segregation: Protects localized sections such as CT chambers and isolated cable ducts using point sensors.
  • Large Area Coverage: Monitors long busbar runs or expansive switchgear sections using a continuous line sensor.
  • Coordinated Tripping Systems: Works side-by-side with an existing over-current relay or handles direct rapid tripping of regional circuit breakers
  • Minimizes Equipment Damage: Optical detection cuts off faults much faster than regular thermal or current-based relays, stopping equipment burn-through.
  • Enhances Worker Safety: Swiftly clears arc faults to lower the blast energy released, protecting staff working near live switchgear.
  • Reduces Operational Downtime: Pinpoints exact problems via zone-specific trip LEDs (Z1 to Z5) to help technicians locate and fix issues fast.
  • Simplifies Expansion & Installation: Non-polar terminal layouts and optional plug-and-play black link fiber adapters simplify panel integration.
