Vector Surge Relay: MRG2
FEATURES
The vector surge relay MRG2 protects synchronous generators in mains parallel operation due to very fast decoupling in case of mains failure. Very dangerous are mains auto reclosing for synchronous generators. The mains voltage returning after 300 ms can hit the generator in asynchronous mode. A very fast decoupling is also necessary in case of long-lasting mains failures.
The C&S MRG2 Generator Mains Monitor and Vector Surge Relay offers protection for synchronous generators by quickly disconnecting them from the mains during failures, preventing damage from dangerous mains auto-reclosing events. Enhanced resilience against voltage surges, advanced protection for sensitive equipment, reliable performance due to microprocessor technology, and the ability to monitor and store tripping values.
- Protects synchronous generators by providing very fast decoupling from the mains when a failure occurs
- Boosts the resilience of electrical systems by promptly identifying and reacting to voltage spikes or transients
- Displays all measuring values and setting parameters on an alphanumeric display, and stores and indicates the trip values for analysis
- Provides very fast decoupling, which is essential in case of long-lasting mains failures to avoid asynchronous operation
- Has a compact and durable design for easy installation.
